Golf events are organized play usually followed (or preceded by) a meal and awards. When registering for a golf event, the player chooses to participate in one of the formats offered for the specific date. Generally, golf events are for LPGA Women Who Play Fort Worth members and their guests who are considering joining the Chapter. There are several events that are limited to members only. See Guests below.
Guests are welcome to participate in up to two Golf Events, Play Days, or Girl Friend Golf outings. After the second visit, we encourage guests to formally join the Fort Worth Chapter of LPGA Women Who Play. Guests are not able to play in the Chapter Championship. Only members with established handicaps are eligible to participate in this Event.
Cancellations must be received prior to the Event or Golf Event registration date. If a player cancels after the registration date, the player must find a replacement attendee or player, or be prepared to pay the cost of the Event or Golf Event.
The Events Committee “locks in” the number of attendees or player with the Host Venue Staff or Golf Course Staff on the Registration due date. If the Host Venue Staff or Golf Course Staff elects to charge LPGA Women Who Play Fort Worth for no shows or cancellations, that cost will be passed on to the member who cancels.
Cancellation of a Social Event or Golf Event is at the discretion of the Host Venue Staff, Golf Course Staff, and the LPGA Women Who Play Fort Worth Golf Events & Activities Director. Every effort will be made to proceed or play as scheduled. If an event is cancelled, the Events Committee will try to notify attendees and players via e-mail or text message, but if attendees or players are unsure, contacting the Host Venue Staff or the Golf Course Staff directly is encouraged to confirm.
