Chapter Policies

We are happy to offer the convenience of online payment with PayPal and encourage all members to take advantage of it. If you are not familiar with PayPal, it’s simple, secure, and can be linked to your credit card, debit card, or bank account.  Go to for more information or to establish an account. Please note that any service fees PayPal charges us for unexpected transactions, such as reversal of payment from your credit card company, will be charged back to the member.  This policy also applies to returned checks, declined credit card payments made outside of PayPal, etc.

As an added incentive for early sign-up, for most events, we will have two sign-up deadlines.

  1. The first will be, in most cases, approximately 10 days prior to the event.  A reminder email will be sent 2 or 3 days before this early sign-up deadline. All EWGA Fort Worth members who sign up online and pay via PayPal by 5:00 p.m. on the early sign-up deadline will be entered into a drawing for a free round of golf.

  2. The 2nd date will normally be 5 –7 days prior to the event and will be the final sign-up deadline.  This time frame is approximate, as different courses require different lead times for turning in headcounts.

Anyone wishing to sign up after the final deadline may contact the Events Chairperson to see if there are any open spots available. In some cases, there will be an additional $5.00 charge for those signing up after the final deadline.

Golf Event Policies

Golf events are organized play usually followed (or preceded by) a meal and awards. When registering for a golf event, the player chooses to participate in one of the formats offered for the specific date. Generally, golf events are for Fort Worth EWGA members and their guests who are considering joining the Chapter. There are several events that are limited to members only. See Guests below.

Guests are welcome to participate in up to two Golf Events”, Play Days or Girl Friend Golf outings. After the second visit, we encourage guests to formally join the Fort Worth Chapter of EWGA. Guests are not able to play in the Chapter Championship. Only members with established handicaps are eligible to participate in this Event.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received prior to the Event or Golf Event registration date. If a player cancels after the registration date, the player must find a replacement attendee or player, or be prepared to pay the cost of the Event or Golf Event.

The Events Committee “locks in” the number of attendees or player with the Host Venue Staff or Golf Course Staff on the Registration due date. If the Host Venue Staff or Golf Course Staff elects to charge Fort Worth EWGA for no shows or cancellations, that cost will be passed on to the member who cancels.

Cancellation of a Social Event or Golf Event is at the discretion of the Host Venue Staff, Golf Course Staff and the Fort Worth EWGA Events Director. Every effort will be made to proceed or play as scheduled. If an event is cancelled, the Events Committee will try to notify attendees and players via e-mail or text message, but if attendees or players are unsure, contacting the Host Venue Staff or the Golf Course Staff directly is encouraged to confirm.
