Payments
We are happy to offer the convenience of online payment with PayPal. If you are not familiar with PayPal, it's simple, secure, and can be linked to your credit card, debit card, or bank account. Go to www.paypal.com for more information or to establish an account. Please note that any service fees PayPal charges us for unexpected transactions, such as reversal of payment from your credit card company, will be charged back to the member. This policy also applies to returned checks, declined credit card payments made outside of PayPal, etc.
Payment may also be made by mailing a check to our Treasurer, Bren Clevenger-Ori, no later than two weeks prior to the event.

As an added incentive for early signup, we will have two signup deadlines. The first will be, in most cases, approximately 10 days prior to the event. A reminder email will be sent 2 or 3 days before this early signup deadline. Everyone who signs up online and pays via PayPal by 5:00 p.m. on the early signup deadline will be entered into a drawing for a free round of golf. The 2nd date will normally be 5 – 7 days prior to the event and will be the final signup deadline.
Anyone wishing to signup after the final deadline may contact the Events Chairperson to see if there are any open spots available. There will be a $5.00 additional charge for anyone signing up after the final deadline.
Refunds
Event Payments are non-refundable after date of Final Signup Deadline, except in inclement weather.
If it appears inclement weather may delay or cancel play, an email will be sent to all registered participants no later than two hours prior to the scheduled start time. Every effort will be made to make this decision as early as possible, i.e. 24 hours prior, but with Texas weather in the spring, sometimes it's difficult to act too far in advance. If a member needs more than two hours' notice, they may call the course directly to see if a decision to delay or cancel the event has been made. The EWGA defers to management at the golf course as the decision maker when it comes to canceling or postponing tee times and determining any rain checks or refunds. Individuals may choose not to play under certain circumstances, and that is their choice. However, if the course deems conditions appropriate for play, and a member chooses not to participate, there will be no refunds. If the event is rescheduled and a member cannot play in the rescheduled event, their money will be refunded or applied to a future event.
If this happens, the person must go online and RSVP to the event in which they plan to play, with a note that they have a credit from the original scheduled event. The pairings are made using the RSVP list, and this will ensure no one is overlooked.
When an event is rescheduled, all communication will originate from the Events Chair, who will coordinate with the course, site captain, and treasurer. This will ensure a smooth transition for all.
Pairings
Members may request cart partners for an event. Your twosome will be grouped with another twosome according to handicap and format of event. New golfers may request to play with other new golfers. Prior to the event, a decision will be made between the event captain and the handicap chair as to who will make the final pairings. That person will be responsible for sending the pairings sheets to the club by the indicated due date.

Substitutes
Substitutes are allowed if you are unable to attend an event after registering. Contact the Site Captain to let them know you have a substitute. The substitute should pay you directly.
Guest Policy
Guests may be male or female, but will be limited to playing as a guest two times per year. After that point, all female guests are encouraged to join EWGA
